REAL PATIENT STORY
She Chose to Understand Her Cancer.

A Stage 4 cancer patient in Malaysia shares how she took a more active role in understanding her cancer — from doing her own research to exploring personalised cancer information and testing.
For her, having more information meant asking better questions, understanding her options, and becoming more involved in decisions about her own healthcare journey.
She Started
With Questions.
When she wanted to understand more about her cancer, she decided to do her own research.
She searched online and discovered circulating tumour cells and CTC testing. When she found out that this type of testing was available in Malaysia, she reached out to a clinic to learn more.
That first step opened the door to a different way of understanding her cancer.
Her Cancer
Is Her Own.
The testing helped her look beyond a one-size-fits-all approach and understand her cancer on a more individual level.
Instead of assuming that the same approach works for every patient, she valued having information about her own cancer biology.
For her, it was about having a more personalised way to understand her cancer and make more informed decisions along the journey.
She Wanted to
Understand More.
For her, liquid biopsy provided information that could help her better understand her cancer.
The testing offered insights into the biology and characteristics of her cancer, including mutations and what may be relevant to her individual situation.
As a Stage 4 patient, she knew the statistics. But she also knew she had more she wanted to do and more life she wanted to live.
She Wanted
More Than Guesswork.
For her, the decision came down to one thing: having information she could understand and use.
Rather than simply trying different options and hoping for a response, she wanted to look at the science and data behind her cancer.
The test gave her a data-driven way to better understand her cancer and approach her healthcare decisions with greater confidence.
Be Your Own Pilot.
For her, taking control starts with understanding her own body and having the information to make informed decisions.
She believes patients should do their own research, ask questions, and take the time to understand their options.
Because when it comes to your body, your voice matters.
HER JOURNEY. HER QUESTIONS. HER CHOICES.
Your Cancer Journey Is Personal.
There is no single story behind every cancer diagnosis. And there may not be a single answer for every patient.
Understanding your cancer starts with understanding your own situation — asking questions, exploring the information available to you, and having meaningful conversations with your healthcare team.
